In Krishnamurti's dialogue with David Bohm, he describes something like "self-improvement" as the root of internal and interpersonal conflict. This is a challenging thought for anyone working in movement and health related fields. If the effort to change leads us away from what is present and true, what can a teacher possibly provide but more confusion? Your work suggests that the answer is learning to use what is already there; the fullness of what is present and influential, but hidden from the dominant sense of sight. I am inspired, and looking forward to exploring your work further, and seeing how it can enrich my own. Heartfelt regards

Thanks, Flynn. I am a big fan of Krishnamurti. For me, I think i can only be where I am and be present (K’s choiceless awareness) to that and then to remember that everything is movement, in flux, in change. Even when I feel stuck it helps to think of that as in process either of more stuck-ness or less stuck-ness. “Self-improvement” is a conflictual state, I’d agree, it begs questions around who is improving what 😃. I look forward to your feedback anytime.

I love this line, Beverly: "Try making some spinal movements from your bones: flexing, extending, twisting, etc and then switch your attention to the long hollow tube of your digestive tract." You write like an Embodyoga Teacher. I was going to say that you need to meet Patty Townsend, but I see below that you've already been acquainted!! Thank you!

Thanks Linda! I’ve met the amazing Patty through Substack, however I knew the connection to Bonnie and BMC work. My teacher is Linda Hartley and I eventually graduated to assist and then teach in her programme in the UK. Small world! 🙏🌍❤️
