READING & LEARNING
My movement studies and practice are ongoing as you know, however, I find myself picking up other interests that I have wanted to explore for a long time - I think it might be something to do with ageing. These topics include wanting to understand more about Jung’s model of the psyche, more about Greek mythology, and also revising my A-level German so that I might some day be able to read Rilke in the original.
For Jung, I have foraged my own bookshelves and re-homed a number of books that will keep me going for some months and I found a wonderfully explanatory podcast series from the Jungian analyst, John Betts called (unsurprisingly) the Jung Podcast. Betts clearly and steadily explains concepts like Shadow, Anima/Animus, Archetypes, and the process of Individuation that, even though I do have to repeat listen, I feel are all within my reach.
